This window is used to interact with the properties of the currently selected object or set of objects.

Screen shot of the properties window

Working with collections

Some properties represent collections. For example, a clutter provider object has a property which is the list of the clutter categories that are available from that clutter provider. You can edit or view the collection by clicking on the The launch collection editor button button adjacent to the property.

Working with multiple objects

When multiple objects are selected (e.g. several sites), the values displayed in the property grid represent the settings for all of the selected objects. Blanks are displayed when the selected objects have different values for a particular setting.

Changing a property when multiple objects are selected will change that property on all the selected objects. For example, selecting several sites and then changing setting the Active property to false will deactivate all the selected sites.

Getting help

You can view the built-in help pages for the object in the property window by clicking on the The launch help button button at the top of the property grid.

Invoking actions

Some objects allow you to run actions. If the selected object has actions, these will be displayed at the top of the property grid.
