The Search Window allows you to make use of Bing Map's powerful address search facilities. You can search by countries, counties, states, place names, addresses, streets, cities, post- and zip-codes. You can also use the search box to find locations , zoom to boundaries, or to locate sites.

  • To search for a place name or address, enter the address into the search box. If the address is not unique, you will be presented with a list of possibilities to choose from. Being more specific about the address will reduce the number of possibilities returned by the search process.
  • To search for a UK postcode, enter the code followed by "(postcode), UK".
  • To search for a zip code enter the code followed by "(zipcode), USA".
  • To search for a specific site, enter the site name in the search box. Keima Overture performs a prefix search, so you can just enter the first part of the site name. A list of sites with that prefix will be returned; double-clicking the entry will select that site and will centre the map on the site's location.
  • To search for a specific location, enter the location in Overture's standard format. For example, entering:
    (-3.180242, 51.489901) WGS84
would centre the map on Keima's offices. You can use any of the projections defined in your project when entering the location you wish to move to.
  • To move the map to a specific boundary, enter the boundary in Overture's standard format. For example, you could enter:
    (-489200, 6574300) (-216100, 6769800) Mercator
to position Cardiff in the view port. You can use any of the projections defined in your project when entering the boundary you wish to move to.
