Map Legends are shown for the selected layer when the Show Map Legend button () is clicked on the Map Layers window. The contents of the legend depend on the underlying map, but they will generally reflect the Map Key that was used to color for the map.

You can move the legend windows around the map window using the placement controls at the top. You can also copy or save the legend to file by using the context (or right-click) menu:

Selecting Copy to Clipboard will copy the legend to the clipboard as a bitmap. Selecting Export to file will launch a file dialog to let you save the legend as a bitmap.

When you export maps to file, any legends are automatically saved alongside the exported map layers.
