Overture has extensive support for a wide variety of raster file formats for terrain; you can learn how to import terrain data here. This tutorial shows you how to export terrain data in Overture for use by third-party tools.

To export terrain data, you first need to locate the Terrain subsection of the Start Page. To get to this, select the Environment section:

This will then display the Terrain sub page:

Click the Export button to start the export process. A file dialog box will appear to let you choose where the exported data should be saved:

Select the required file format from the pull-down list, enter a filename and then press OK. Your data will then be exported in the selected format. Note that the properties of the Analysis Region component are used to determine the projection, the resolution and the area of the exported data.
