This tutorial shows you how to export the visible
map layers
to geo-referenced bitmap files. To do this, you will need to open the
Start Page
and click on the Maps button. This opens the
Maps sub-page:
Clicking on the Export Active Maps button starts
the export process. You will then be prompted for a folder to export the maps to.
Once you have chosen a folder, the map layers will be written out to that directory.
The map layers are written out in
PNG
format. The files are named after the corresponding map layer, and each file is
written out with geo-referencing files for MapInfo (*.tab) and Google Earth (*.kml).
If the map layer has a
legend,
this is also written out as a bitmap.
The
Analysis Region
is used to determine the area to export; this also supplies the dimensions of the
resulting bitmaps.
You can also export the current view using the
export buttons
on the toolbar.
