The Terminal entity represents a device that receives signals from the network. Common examples of terminals are mobiles and CPEs (customer presence equipment). Terminals are used to characterize Services and some Statistic Data Providers.

Accessing the Terminals collection

You can access the collection of terminals in your project from the Network > Terminals > Edit List menu option:

Terminal properties

Terminals have the following properties:

  • Discrimination. This sets the amount by which all non-serving signals are reduced at the reciever.
  • Flag Values. The set of Flags for this terminal.
  • Isotropic Antenna Gain. This is the antenna gain of the terminal.
  • Max TX Power. This is the maximum output power of the terminal.
  • Name. This is the name of the terminal.
  • Noise Figure. This is the noise figure of the terminal. This is added to the thermal noise to give the actual noise experienced by the reciever.
