A Point data source in Overture is a sequence of items where each item consists
of a location and a collection of attribute values. An example of a point data source
could be the locations of airports in a particular country, where the attributes
of each point might include the airport's name, the number of daily flights and
so forth.
Point data sources can be used to help with a variety of RF planning tasks. You
can map any point data source by adding a point map. You can also convert point
data sources to other geo data types by using various geo data transformers.
You can access the collection of point data providers in your project from the menu option:
Add A New Point Geo Data Component
The easiest way to add a new geo data component is to add a map and create a new
component to point it at.
From the
Start Page,
select Maps and then add a new map using the Add button
Select Point Map then the Data Source property.
Click the Edit List... button to edit the list
of all geo data providers of this type.
Then choose the required component type from the list of options in the Add drop-down.
